Mike is an experienced public administrator, having served as a Police Chief, volunteer Fire Chief, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of a local fire district and Commander of a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force, and he is currently an Assistant Chief with the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department. Mike holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice for the State University College at Buffalo, and as a lifelong learner, has attended over one hundred classes, seminars and training sessions on topics related to law enforcement and public safety administration. As a member of the Board of Supervisors, Mike sits on the Public Safety and Human Services Committees, is Vice-Chairman of the Government Operations Committee, and also serves on various sub-committees. Mike and his wife Lynne are natives of Irondequoit and have lived since 2013 on North Lincoln Road with their two large and lovable dogs and share six adult children and four grandchildren.

The Town of Walworth is bordered by the towns of Ontario to the north, Marion to the east, Macedon to the south, and Penfield (Monroe County) to the west.
New York State Route 350 and New York State Route 441 intersect in the town.
