Welcome to the Town Clerk’s Office! This year brings several BIG things to our office!

First, as a result of the General Election’s mandatory referendum, the Receiver of Taxes’ duties were transferred to our office. This will be a great benefit to our community as we have convenient office hours for collection and drop off.

Walworth Tax Collection:
We will be collecting Monday through Friday from 8:00am through 3:00pm through March 31st. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions! And, thank you in advance for your patience as we’re new to tax collection!

Secondly, it’s Dog Enumeration time! Every three years, the Town of Walworth sends letters to all of its residents to attempt to get an accurate count of the currently-licensed dogs in the town. Any dog over the age of 4 months must be registered with the town in which you reside, so if you have yet to license your dog(s) or if there has been a change of status for your dog(s) (spay/neuter, relocation, death), please contact our office for licensing information or to inform us of a status change. (And, we are a pet-friendly complex, so please bring in those puppies!)

If you have already registered your dog in Walworth, please disregard the mailing and look for our annual reminder to be sent to you about 30 days prior to your dog’s registration expiration date. Please look for letters to be mailed out to all residents at the end of March 2024.

Our office has been very busy over the past few months issuing DEC licenses, dog licenses, certificates of residency for college students and marriage licenses. If we have not yet had a chance to meet you, our office is open from 8am – 4pm Monday through Friday. We are open during the lunch hour so please stop in when it is convenient for you!

Should you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to stop in. You may also call my office directly at (315) 986-1400 - Option 9 or contact me via e-mail anytime by reaching out to townclerk@townofwalworthny.gov.

We look forward to meeting and serving you!
