Happy Spring, neighbors! As we welcome the first blooms of 2026, we find ourselves most grateful for the people who make this neighborhood so special. While the flowers bring the color, it is your kindness and neighborly spirit that truly bring our streets to life. Thank you for making this such a wonderful place to call home; we can't wait to see your familiar faces out in the sunshine again.

We are so grateful for the growing community here in Walworth. If you are new to town or if we haven't had the pleasure of meeting, please stop by and introduce yourself! My Deputy Clerks Valen and Leah and I look forward to welcoming you in person. Our office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. We are even open during the lunch hour for your convenience so please stop by any time!

Some Reminders:
Taxes
– Your Town Clerk’s office collects Town and County tax payments. You can pay in person Monday – Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm or mail your payment to the Walworth Town Clerk at 3600 Lorraine Drive, Walworth NY, 14568.

Dogs – Any dog 4 months of age or older needs to be licensed within the town where you reside. To license your dog, please provide an up-to-date proof of rabies and the associated town license fee ($10 for fixed or $19 for intact).

Marriage Licenses – As always, we are happy to help couples take the necessarysteps to saying “I do”. A gentle reminder that appointments are HIGHLY recommended. If you do choose to walk in for this service, please keep in mind we will only process licenses until 3:45pm as there is not enough time to complete the necessary paperwork after this time before we close.

We look forward to meeting you and serving you this Spring!

2026 NYS FREE FISHING DAYS
- February 14th & February 15th
- June 27th & June 28th
- September 26th (National Hunting & Fishing Day)
- November 11th (Veterans Day)

DEC designates several dates throughout the year as free fishing days, which allows anyone to recreationally fish without a freshwater fishing license in New York State! This offers the perfect opportunity to try out fishing for the first time, for getting back into the sport after taking a break, or for taking a friend or the whole family along to fish! Even though a license is not needed, all fishing regulations apply. As a result, be sure to familiarize yourself with the Freshwater Fishing Regulations prior to venturing out.
