A Note From Walworth Recreation

The snowy and cold winter we've endured this year leaves us longing for the days of sunshine, warmth, and outdoor activity! Soon enough the grass will be growing and parks bustling with programs, activities, and community members young and old enjoying their trails, diamonds, fields, and open spaces.

The Dog Park at Sherburne Park re-opens April 1st. A reminder - all dogs MUST be registered to receive a pass-code to enjoy the space. Please note that registrations do not carry over year to year. Dogs must be registered each season to ensure all licenses and required shots are up to date. You can register your pooch anytime 8am-3:30pm at the Recreation Offices.

Plan your summer early by registering for Summer Camp! Camp registration kicks off Thursday, February 5th. This past year we re-vamped our camp experience and it was a smashing success! With much of our staff returning we know it will be another summer full of even more fun, learning, camaraderie, and activity. This summer we've opened up camp to those entering 1st Grade and capped camps at Grade 5. We hope this better serves families looking for summer coverage for younger children.

Lodge reservations for the 2026 Calendar year are nearly full. Many dates remain for our Outdoor Pavilions, but available weekend dates for the Lodge are few and far between. Rental and facility information, forms, and more can be found on on our town website: townofwalworthny.gov/facilities. To inquire about availability for a specific date, or for any assistance with a facility rental, please give the Recreation Offices a call!
